The National Alliance of Concurrent Enrollment Partnerships (NACEP) held its annual conference in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, Oct. 19-21. Co-hosted by Duval County Public Schools and Florida State College at Jacksonville, two exemplary partners in dual enrollment practice and policy, the conference provided support and strategies for navigating everything from funding issues to special programs for first-generation college students. Starting next year, recent high-school graduates and active-duty military members in Florida will have the choice of whether to take the courses or even the tests meant to gauge students' readiness for college-level work."
