The first day of priority registration will begin Oct. 21, 2013 for those students with 45 or more credit hours and baccalaureate students. On Oct. 22, the priority registration will be open for students with 30 or more credit hours. All remaining students will be able to register on Oct. 23.

In the Chronicle of Higher Education: "New students who show up here at Florida State College at Jacksonville have to take placement tests in mathematics, English, and reading. About 70 percent end up in one or more remedial courses. For now, at least...
Starting next year, recent high-school graduates and active-duty military members in Florida will have the choice of whether to take the courses or even the tests meant to gauge students' readiness for college-level work."
