Dr. Mike Reynolds on Comet ISON: Will it sizzle or will it fizzle?

Nov 1, 2022, 10:58 AM
Look to the horizon the morning of Nov. 29, 2013. You may get to see the comet of the century--if it doesn't become toast by soaring too close to the sun! Interview on WJCT First Coast Connect, with host Melissa Ross.

Dr. Mike Reynolds, dean of Arts and Sciences and professor of Astronomy at Kent Campus, and Tom Webber, director of the MOSH plantarium, discuss what astronomers--and anyone who wants to look--might see from the Comet ISON during the daylight hours on the day after Thanksgiving, 2013. Also, on Dec. 6, Reynolds will give his presentation, The Science behind the Star of Bethlemem--free and open to the public, with guided star-gazing outdoors afterwards.Read the news release for more information. Reynolds and Webber were interviewed on WJCT Public Radio 89.9, First Coast Connect, hosted by Melissa Ross.
