STUDENT FEE PUBLIC NOTICE

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
The District Board of Trustees for Florida State College at Jacksonville will act upon the following matters at its next regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at 1 p.m. at the College’s Cecil Center – North, 13550 FSCJ Cecil Dr., Jacksonville, FL 32221.
NOTICE OF PROPOSED STUDENT FEE CHARGES:
Fees and Charges (Course Fees)
The proposed action will authorize the College to change fees for the following courses, pursuant to FSCJ Board Rule 6Hx7-4.19. Fees for inactive courses, to be effective Spring Term 2026-27, are being removed to ensure our fee structure remains current and aligned with our active course offerings. Kit and test fees for the Nursing ASN program, to be effective Spring Term 2026-27, are being modified to align with the per-student cost of the kits and reflect the consolidation of kits and testing services under a single vendor. Lab fees for the Aviation Maintenance Technology courses, to be effective Spring Term 2026-27, have been recalculated to reflect current costs and enrollment numbers. The lab fee modifications proposed for the Natural Sciences program, to be effective Spring Term 2026-27, are aimed at aligning with current costs and enrollment numbers. An equipment usage fee is being proposed for the Health Information Management courses, to be effective Spring Term 2026-27, for student access onto two technology platforms. Kit fees for the Barbering program, to be effective Spring Term 2026-27, are being modified to align with the per-student cost of the kits. The lab fee modifications proposed for the Cardiovascular Technology program, to be effective Spring Term 2026-27, are aimed at aligning with current costs and enrollment numbers. The FSCJ DBOT is authorized under Florida Statutes 1009.22 and 1009.23 to establish fees to recover costs of services provided. The recommended fee changes are projected to have no net fiscal impact on the College.
Any person requesting to address the above matters will be provided an opportunity to do so by appearing before the Board at the September 8 meeting. Copies of the item will be available for inspection beginning August 6 in the Office of the College President, Room 408D, 501 West State St., Jacksonville, FL 32202 as well as on the College’s website, which can be found at: https://www.fscj.edu/home under Notifications Alert.
