Tragic aviation accidents become important teaching tools for future pilots

Action News Reporter Kristen Sell turned to Florida State College at Jacksonville's Aviation Center for insight into the possible causes of an accident that sadly left the pilot of a small plane and his two passengers dead.  FSCJ Aviation Program Manager and Flight Instructor Sam Fischer considers all the possibilities, and stresses the importance of being prepared for anything, including mechanical and electrical problems, weather and visibility issues. In regard to flight training, Fischer tells Sell they always train for what could go wrong. "The most critical moments with the highest workload are right before landing," he says.
