On First Coast Connect: MOSH Planetarium Director Tom Webber and FSCJ Dean of Math and Science and Astronomy Professor Mike Reynolds explain the significance of the solstice as it impacts earth and science, and even some of the cultural traditions surrounding it.
The earth has a tilt of about 23.5 degrees, either toward or away from the sun. Earth enters the winter solstice on Dec. 21. Tom Webber and Dr. Reynolds were invited by First Coast Connect Host Melissa Ross to talk about the solstice in her regular Tech Tuesday segment.
