Cafe Frisch Holds Grand Opening Event

Jun 9, 2022, 12:50 PM

On Thursday, February 15, FSCJ's Culinary Arts and Hospitality program hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony for Cafe Frisch, its simulated restaurant environment. Together with FSCJ leadership, students and faculty, Harry Frisch, his family and the Beaver Street Foundation celebrated the grand opening with a brief program, followed by a tour of the facilities and a gourmet, student-prepared lunch in the new dining area.

Made possible by a generous gift from the Harry Frisch family and the Beaver Street Foundation, Cafe Frisch provides FSCJ students a hands-on learning experience while showcasing their culinary and service talents to the community.

“Cafe Frisch provides our students exclusive learning experiences that not only build their aptitude, but also their employability,” said FSCJ President Dr. Cynthia Bioteau. “We are immensely grateful for the partnership and friendship we have with Harry, the entire Frisch family and Beaver Street Foundation which only helps to solidify FSCJ’s position as the community’s college.”

The Cafe is open to the public for Tuesday and Thursday lunch and Thursday dinner. Check the website for the updated schedule and cuisine focus. Reservations are required and may be made by calling (904) 633-8151.
