The Paramedic Technical Certificate (T.C.) is a limited access certificate program designed to graduate competent, caring emergency medical providers who possess the cognitive knowledge, psychomotor skills, and affective professional attributes necessary to function as entry-level paramedics. Upon completion of the paramedic training, graduates are awarded a technical certificate and are eligible to apply to sit for the National Registry (NREMT) certification exam to qualify for certification as a Florida Paramedic and a National Registered Paramedic. Paramedic school graduates may elect to continue for the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) (2251) (A.S.) degree.
Emergency medical services (EMS) systems consist of many different components. Paramedic is the advanced level for work in the EMS field as they provide advanced life support and transportation for the sick and injured.
