Healthcare Informatics Specialist (T.C.)

The Healthcare Informatics Specialist Technical Certificate (T.C.) program gives students the technical skills needed to enter the health care delivery market with a focus on the implementation and maintenance of health information systems, such as the electronic health records. 

Through a combination of lecture and laboratory education, students gain the fundamentals of biomedical sciences, medical terminology, health care delivery systems and basic principles of health care informatics.

Career Options

This program prepares students for employment as entry-level health informatics specialist or provides supplemental training for persons currently or previously employed in health care or information technology. All credits may be applied toward the Health Information Technology Associate in Science (A.S.)
