FSCJ Names Dr. Marc Boese New Associate Provost of Curriculum and Instruction

Dr. BoeseFSCJ is pleased to introduce our new Associate Provost of Curriculum and Instruction, Dr. Marc Boese. Previously serving as Interim Dean of Education and Human Services, Dr. Boese has been with FSCJ since 2007, holding multiple teaching and leadership roles, including Professor of Digital Media Arts and Executive Director of Training and Organizational Development from 2017 to 2025.

In that role, he was charged with expanding and transforming opportunities for professional development at FSCJ. Some standout achievements from his work include the establishment of the Academy for Teaching and Learning, the development of more than a dozen certificate programs, including the Leadership Academy, the formation of a strategic partnership with the Ritz-Carlton to advance a service excellence initiative, and the co-leadership of the QueST Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) project. His contributions to the institution and broader community encompass multiple initiatives integrating technology into curricula to address achievement disparities among underrepresented student populations, as well as volunteer coaching in recreational baseball.

Dr. Boese will be a strong advocate for the departments that comprise Curriculum and Instruction, maintaining and supporting the excellent work that has long characterized the Office of Curriculum Services, Library and Tutoring Services, and enriched learning opportunities such as service learning and global education. As his tenure begins, the responsibilities of the Associate Provost of Curriculum and Instruction are expanding to include leadership for FSCJ's work in digital education, which currently comprises FSCJ Online and the Center for E-Learning.
