The Administrative & Professional Collaborative (APC) is the representative voice for the Administrative & Professional employees of FSCJ. In an effort to build cohesiveness, awareness and collegiality, each month we put a “spotlight” on one of our members.

Associate Vice President for Student Affairs & Enrollment Management Lisa Kasper joined FSCJ in May 2025. In this role, she leads strategic enrollment planning and supports the student experience through areas like Admissions, Advising, Student Recruitment, New Student Orientation and the Contact Center. This October, Lisa will be “on tour,” leading Strategic Enrollment Management (SEM) Planning workshops and focus groups across FSCJ’s four campuses. She will compile the insights from these sessions to help develop the College’s three-year SEM plan.
Her career has taken her from community colleges to universities, holding a variety of leadership roles along the way. She served as Director of Admissions at Borough of Manhattan Community College (CUNY), Ocean County College, and Montclair State University; Manager of Enrollment at The Culinary Institute of America; and University Associate Director of Communications at Fairleigh Dickinson University.
Before joining FSCJ, Lisa spent two years as a copywriter for Interact Communications and later became Vice President for Client Services, partnering with colleges nationwide on enrollment strategy and marketing. She also spent a decade teaching College Writing and Intro to Literature at Montclair State and volunteered for more than 10 years as a tour guide and educator at New York City’s Lower East Side Tenement Museum, where she brought courageous immigration stories of the past to life for visitors. Drawing on that experience and her love of history, Lisa recently completed her first historical fiction novel, "New York’s Daughter," inspired by her own great-grandmother’s immigration story and the bold, unconventional life she led in Manhattan during the early 20th century.
Fun fact: Lisa is currently researching a 1938 Greenwich Village murder mystery that involves a legendary drag venue, the mafia, a police shooting and a possible NYPD cover-up.
Our spotlight shines on each campus/center at least once a year. Nominations for the spotlight may be directed to your campus representative or any officer. Learn more about APC here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1024098564929654.
