The Career Employees' Council (CEC) is the representative voice for the Career employees of FSCJ, with the goal to be committed to the continuous development of a collaborative work environment whereby the value and respect of Career employees are elevated through increased recognition, involvement and opportunities to achieve a higher degree of excellence. In this spirit, we put a "spotlight" on one of our members each month.

June's CEC Spotlight illuminates Senior Security Officer Steven McCrary, who has worked at FSCJ for two decades. 

In his role, his goal is to guarantee that officers in the FSCJ police force are provided the tools to be efficient and successful officers. He assists with the direction of operations on campus and continues to safeguard the safety and security of FSCJ staff, faculty, students, visitors and property. 

What Steven appreciates most about his job is meeting people and forming lifelong friendships. He meets the objective of a career employee by contributing successfully to the mission and vision of FSCJ. He uses his life skills to improve not only himself but make a impact on Jacksonville and FSCJ. When he is not at FSCJ he relishes relaxing while after working. 

Our spotlight seeks to showcase a CEC representative from each campus/center at least once a year.
