Another exciting season of YMCA First Coast Games wrapped up with a closing ceremony on Saturday, June 14. During the games, which started back in March, FSCJ teams competed against other Jacksonville companies in bowling, soccer, basketball, flag football and volleyball.
All of our teams were competitive with the basketball team holding on until the final game. In addition, 18 team members completed the Healthy Living Challenge, which involved free visits to the YMCA and an opportunity to improve individual biometrics.
The 5k, which was the last event held in conjunction with the closing ceremony, had the largest FSCJ participation with 20 employees. All participating employees enjoyed the event that was held at the Downtown Winston Y, despite the warm weather. Two employees stood out with Cyrus Kitto winning his age group for the second year in a row and Alan Zube finishing second in his age group.
This was the most successful First Coast Games for the FSCJ participants and we look forward to even more involvement in 2020!
