An assessment program for awarding credit for prior learning and experience to Florida State College at Jacksonville students.

College Course Challenge exams are a Florida State College at Jacksonville-developed assessment program for awarding credit for prior learning and experience to FSCJ students. By successfully completing a CCCE assessment, you are awarded a grade of "P" on your transcript in the subject for which you are assessed. The good news is that unsuccessful assessment scores are not recorded on your transcript!

In order to register for a CCCE assessment, contact the Assessment and Certification Center nearest you. Prior to taking the CCCE, you will need to complete a registration form and pay the registration fee. Some CCCE assessments also require program manager approval prior to payment and testing.

There are about 11 CCCE assessments available in a variety of subject areas. More assessments are added each year because of our commitment to assist you in reaching your career goals as quickly as possible.

You may retake any of the CCCE exams as often as you like as long as you wait three months between assessments, regardless of location at which the test was taken. The fee for retaking an exam is the same as it is for the first assessment.

The CCE assessments cover the same content found in the equivalent Florida State College course. The best place to start in preparing for a CCCE exam is to review the textbook used in the course. Course textbooks may be purchased in any campus bookstore.

Your results are mailed to you about four weeks after you take the assessment.
