Articulation and Transfer Agreements

Florida State College at Jacksonville (FSCJ) has negotiated Memoranda of Understanding agreements to facilitate bachelor's to graduate transfer to identified institutions, as well as the transfer of credits earned at FSCJ to select bachelor's degree completion programs at several colleges and universities.

FSCJ takes part in  statewide articulation agreements negotiated between the Florida College System (FCS) and the State University System (SUS).

You may search for articulation and transfer information based on several different options. For the list and explanation of the search options, see the transfer agreement page.

The accreditation status of the transfer institution is very important.

Accreditation by a regional commission that's recognized by the U.S. Department of Education is important. It's your proof that outside evaluators have carefully reviewed an institution's programs and policies. Many businesses, school districts and other organizations prefer to hire graduates of programs that are regionally accredited. Regional accreditation also allows students to transfer more easily to other universities and to seek admittance to graduate programs.

Florida statute, 1007.24, guarantees that “any student who transfers among postsecondary institutions that are fully accredited by a regional or national accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and that participate in the statewide course number system shall be awarded credit by the receiving institution for courses satisfactorily completed by the student at the previous institution. Credit shall be awarded if the courses are judged by the appropriate statewide course numbering system faculty committees … to be academically equivalent to courses offered at the receiving institution … The award of credit may be limited to courses that are entered in the statewide course numbering system …”
