What is a BSN degree? The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N.) degree program prepares practicing nurses for evidence-based care and leadership roles in nursing. The bachelor’s nursing program emphasizes nursing school requirements such as critical thinking, cultural sensitivity and professional collaboration in the management of care for individuals, families and the community. In addition, the nursing program features:
- Part-time program of study in three (3) to six (6) semesters to allow continued employment
- Hybrid courses and online course delivery options to facilitate student access and flexibility
- Doctorally prepared faculty who continue professional nursing practice within the community
Prior to acceptance into the program, all applicants must hold a current and active Registered Nurse license in the state where they anticipate conducting practicum activities.
Upon completion of the degree, students will be prepared to provide, design, manage and coordinate health care for increasing complex patients, families and communities.
