Adult Basic Education

The purpose of Adult Basic Education is to develop literacy skills necessary to be successful employees, citizens and family members. The program offers non-credit courses designed for adults who are performing below the ninth-grade level. The course content develops basic literacy in all areas of knowledge.

Adult Basic Education involves non-credit courses designed to develop literacy skills necessary for successful workers, citizens, and family members. Mathematics, language arts or reading courses prepare students for career or high school level programs. Students at the ninth-grade level may register for career and technical education courses or GED® high school equivalency courses.
