January 2026 Recruitment Update

Jan 12, 2026, 14:13 PM

As we begin a new year and a new term, the Student Recruitment Office is preparing to launch a mix of long‑standing recruitment events with a new initiative. These strategic, face-to-face efforts are designed to strengthen our outreach, support prospective students, educate supporters and encourage an energized path to enrollment. In 2026, our combined Spring Term something-tried-and something-new approach will include:

Campus Discovery Days

  • Replacing the traditional mid‑June Open House, Campus Discovery Days will expand our outreach through a four‑event series highlighting academic programs, student services and campus life at each campus.
  • The series will begin at North Campus in late February, continue at Kent and Downtown campuses, and conclude in May at South Campus. These events will rely on cross‑campus collaboration, and we look forward to working with faculty and staff to showcase the best of each campus.

Principals and Counselors Meeting

  • This annual event, held in February, continues to serve as both an appreciation opportunity and an information exchange with our service‑district school partners. Counselors engage in hands‑on activities that deepen their understanding of the pathways and support services we share with their students.
  • Principals receive updates on student matriculation trends from their high schools and learn more about the College’s strategic priorities for the coming year.

FSCJ Connections: A Community Partner Event (Nassau)

  • Hosted annually in partnership with the Office for Civic Engagement, FSCJ Connections brings together representatives from our community partners for a morning of shared dialogue and collaboration.
  • This event, scheduled for early April, reinforces our collective commitment to supporting students and strengthening the community we serve.
