The Administrative & Professional Collaborative (APC) is the representative voice for the Administrative & Professional employees of FSCJ. In an effort to build cohesiveness, awareness and collegiality, each month we put a “spotlight” on one of our members.
Madison Owens currently serves as the Associate Director of Orientation, playing a crucial role in managing both online and in-person events and ensuring smooth transitions for new and returning students.
Madison works closely with other departments to enhance student onboarding and engagement, contributing to the overall success of the College's mission. Her background in academic and career advising, civic engagement and leadership development has equipped her with the skills necessary to support students in achieving their educational goals.
With a Master of Science in College Student Affairs focusing on Conflict Analysis and Resolution from Nova Southeastern University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from FSCJ, Madison has a strong foundation in higher education administration. In addition to her work in student affairs, she is an active leader within the Collegiate Information and Visitor Services Association (CIVSA), where she serves as the Regional Director for Region V. In this role, Madison oversees monthly meetings, coordinates events and manages a team of volunteers, fostering collaboration and professional development across institutions.
Beyond her professional responsibilities, Madison enjoys binge-watching her favorite series with her cat, Rasper! She is also passionate about thrill rides and is on a mission to visit Universal Studios Orlando 50 times in 15 months. Currently, she is on trip number 25 after six months.
