The Career Employees' Council (CEC) is the representative voice for the Career employees of FSCJ, with the goal to be committed to the continuous development of a collaborative work environment whereby the value and respect of Career employees are elevated through increased recognition, involvement and opportunities to achieve a higher degree of excellence. In this spirit, we put a "spotlight" on one of our members each month.

April's Career Employees' Council (CEC) Spotlight illuminates roject Coordinator Sadell Anderson. Sadell has been with FSCJ for 20 years. She works as administrative support for the Adult Education Program.

What she appreciates most about her job is the challenge of tackling problems and finding creative solutions that make a difference and supporting her colleagues to ensure job satisfaction of others, fostering a pleasant working environment.

Ms. Anderson has brought light and assistance to the CEC by making recommendations on policies and procedures. She is an FSCJ alumni, earning her bachelor’s degree in Business Supervision and Management.

Sadell is a part of the records management team and has served on the art gallery committee. She is a vital in her community by volunteering with Habitat for Humanity and concessions at her grandchildren’s sporting events/games. When she is not working at FSCJ, she enjoys traveling to other countries and spending time with her immediate family (husband, parents, three kids and four grandchildren).

Our spotlight seeks to showcase a CEC representative from each campus/center at least once a year. Nominations for the spotlight may be directed to the CEC Publicity Committee Chair Vanessa Gordon at CEC@fscj.edu.
