The Administrative & Professional Collaborative (APC) is the representative voice for the Administrative & Professional employees of FSCJ.
In an effort to build cohesiveness, awareness and collegiality, each month we put a “spotlight” on one of our members. October's Administrative & Professional Collaborative (APC) spotlight shines on Michael Litchfield. As Associate Director of Student Support Services in the Department of Student Support and Engagement, Michael Litchfield provides Collegewide leadership by ensuring the continued support and accessibility of students with disabilities in receiving Academic Accommodations, as well as the retention and success of students through Success and Coaching, and assisting students in crisis.
Michael holds a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Naval Science from Savannah State University. He has been in higher education for 10 years having served FSCJ since 2015 in several roles including Academic Advising, Success and Coaching, and Student Support Services. He enjoys assisting students overcome academic and non-academic obstacles to show their true potential.
Michael is a Jacksonville native and enjoys spending time with his wonderful wife and daughter along with his extended family and friends, many of which are FSCJ alum. He recognizes the amazing role that FSCJ plays in the Jacksonville community and with our students and is excited at the opportunity to work with others to empower our students to reach their goals.
