Welcome FSCJ's New Vice President of Business Services

Jun 9, 2022, 12:40 PM
Get to know our new Vice President of Business Services, Al Little. Find out about some of his plans, expectations and goals for the College. We also asked him a few fun questions to get to know him a little better.

Q. What is your number one priority for the business services division?

A. Each area in this division is a service group. My number one priority will always be for each area to serve our students, our faculty, our staff and our community effectively and efficiently. I will be working with the administrators leading each area to review and identify processes and procedures that need to be improved.

Q. What can faculty, staff, students and the community expect to see happen in regards to the collective needs of the College over the next year?

A. Each of these groups can expect to see the College place its collective resources, both human and financial, in places to propel the institution towards accomplishment of our strategic goals.

Q. Are there any immediate upgrades or improvements in business services that you would like to see take place at FSCJ?

A. President Bioteau has assured me there is plenty of work to be done, but I will have to spend some time at the College before knowing what upgrades or improvements I would like to see.

Q. What advice/thoughts do you have for employees as you join FSCJ?

A. I am delighted to join an esteemed faculty and a talented staff, and I look forward to working with each of you. If at any point you do not feel you are receiving the service you need from the business services division, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Q.  What was your favorite food when you were a child?

A. Pizza, no question.  Unless you include desserts, in which case it would be chocolate cake with fudge icing.

Q. What's the #1 most played song on your iPod?

A. Days of Elijah

Q. When you have 30 minutes of free-time, how do you pass the time?

A. My wife would say I spend it doing email for work!  I'm a big sports fan, and I like to check up on the status of my favorite teams.  Years ago I was lucky to see a box score or perhaps a one paragraph write-up of a football game.  Now we have websites dedicated to almost any team, and information is frequently shared from inside sources.

Q. What songs are included on the soundtrack to your life?

A.

Centerfield – John Fogerty
Amazing Grace
All You Need Is Love - Beatles
Takin’ Care of Business – BTO
She’s Always a Woman – Billy Joel
Thank God for Kids – Oak Ridge Boys
Don’t Stop Me Now - Queen
Stronger – Kelly Clarkson
The Revelation Song – Kari Jobe
