“When I first begin my journey at Florida State College at Jacksonville, I was initially impressed with Patricia’s enthusiasm, communication skills and professional demeanor while tutoring math. Patricia has been continually upbeat and encouraging. I had many doubts prior to enrolling in college about my ability to be a successful student in math. I have been out of school for over three decades and wanted to fulfill my dream of earning a degree. Sometimes I become overwhelmed with confusion regarding math.  I go for tutoring and pray Patricia is there. Many students feel the same as I do regarding Patricia. We feel extremely fortunate that the school hired a tutor as Patricia. Our session has always been comfortable, and there is a definite objective set every time.

I can honestly say, that if it was not for Patricia, I would not understand math as I do now. I always walk out knowing more than when I walked in and my confidence is restored. Her ability to encourage you to the point of wanting to learn is unparalleled, and it is because of her excellence in this area that I repeatedly asked her for help in math. Patricia multitasks effectively and is able to handle more than one student at a time. She consistently sticks with you until the understanding is clear. Professor Washington is a great instructor but with so many students like I, needing more time, the additional support I receive with Patricia to supplement Professor Washington’s guidance is much appreciated. The instruction and encouragement I’ve received from Professor Washington and Patricia has been rewarding in elevating my learning skills in math. I am more confident while preparing myself for future studies as I continue this journey.  Thank you.”
