FSCJ will be closed for spring break from Monday, March 17 – Sunday, March 23, 2025. We look forward to serving you when we return on March 24.
FSCJ has competed in the First Coast Games Bowling Tournament for five consecutive years and even took home first place three times in 2014, 2015 and 2017.

The FSCJ team powered through their opponent FIS/Haskell 65-60 with ferocious defense and incredible team work. Alex Smith was at the top of his game and even had 4 dunks. Jay Whittington also known as “The Wall,” wouldn’t let a defender by him and took 3 offensive charges that led to 6 points on 3 turnovers. Andrew Pierce was on fire from deep and lived up to the long range shooter reputation he has built over the years. Coach Wooten and Tameiko Grant dominated the paint and were unstoppable beneath the basketball.
Skye, Phillip Delacruz, Lynn Dollekamp and JT Tynan were key contributors off the bench. They were able to maintain the large lead that the starters built. Last but certainly not least, Daniel West arrived at half time with sneakers in hand. Daniel was ready to go at a moment’s notice and helped seal the victory with some fancy dribbling and short range shots. General Manager Barbara Summers helped lead the team from the sidelines and was FSCJ’s biggest cheerleader. The faculty and staff who participated in the YMCA First Coast Games Basketball League were proud to represent the College and bring home a big win for the school!
FSCJ was also represented at the First Coast Games' Top Golf Tournament on Monday, July 10. Team members Julie Valdes, Steve Beard, Christy Vint Griswold and Jeniah Jones had a wonderful time showing off their best golf skills along with 30 other local company teams. Team members not pictured are Matt Wetzel, Daniel West, Jose Matteu and Andrew Pierce.
