Do you know a student who has a passion for helping better the community? We ask that you remind your student volunteers to apply for the Herbert W. Scheidel Leadership in Action Award by February 8, 2017.

The award continues Mr. Scheidel’s legacy by recognizing emerging leaders within our community who go above and beyond to positively impact the lives of others. Students who contribute to their communities by taking action to help less fortunate individuals at a nonprofit organization are encouraged to apply.

Applicants must be currently enrolled and must demonstrate a significant impact on an organization or agency and the outlying community. Two finalists will receive a one-time $500 tuition scholarship and the winner will receive a $5,000 award to help benefit their goal of higher education.
