On January 25, the second Business Speaker Series event, "How Advanced Infrastructure Promotes Local Business and Economic Growth," was held at the Nathan H. Wilson Center for the Arts at South Campus. Lake Ray, First Coast Manufacturers Association and Former State Representative, moderated a panel discussion that included Jeff Sheffield, North Florida Transportation Planning Organization, Greg Evans, FDOT, and Aaron Bowman, JAXUSA. These local industry experts covered topics and took audience questions about the business boom in Northeast Florida, what's being done to support this growth and how local businesses can best prepare for future job growth and impact. View photos from the event.
The series was made possible by a $250,000 commitment from First Florida Credit Union to support initiatives that will help local students and community members become future business leaders. The funding helped launch the series and will bolster the College’s Financial Skills Academy over the span of five years. To see the full schedule of future events, visit fscj.edu/business-speakers.
