Congratulations to our fellow faculty, administrative and professional and career employees who were honored at the 2016 Faculty/APC/CEC Awards Luncheon on Friday, October 21. President Dr. Cynthia Bioteau hosted the luncheon and was joined by the College’s executive and campus leadership to celebrate the recipients of the 2016 Exceptional Service Award, Excellence Award, Outstanding Faculty Awards and the recognition of the Grants Resource Department.
“Our institution was built upon a foundation of dedication, excellence and integrity, said Dr. Bioteau. “I am incredibly grateful for individuals like those of you here who embody these values and make FSCJ all that it is: a place of growth, a source of support, a monument of achievement for all who wish to pursue it.”
Among the winners was Executive Director of State and Federal Reporting Theresa Lott, who received the Administrative and Professional Collaborative Exceptional Service and Initiative Award.
To receive an Exceptional Service and Initiative Award nomination, an administrator or professional employee must demonstrate excellence in the following criteria:
Military Receivable Specialist Glenda McBurnie was honored with the Career Employees’ Council Recognition of Excellence Award. Glenda, who got her start at Florida State College at Jacksonville (FSCJ) more than 14 years ago as a student worker, was nominated by Administrative Specialist Ruby Jean Simon.
Our faculty award winners include Professor of Dance Rebecca Levy, Professor of Biological Sciences Dr. Lourdes Norman and Professor of Economics Dr. Susan Reilly, who each received an Outstanding Faculty Award.
