North Campus now has a new place for faculty, staff and students to grab a bite to eat.
The BlueWave Café North held its grand opening ceremony on March 28. Surrounded by an anxious gathering of students, staff, friends and community leaders, Dr. Sandy L. Robinson led the ribbon-cutting ceremony with SGA President Ted Darelus and SGA Vice President Wisdom Stamper.
Dr. Robinson congratulated student Antoine Jackson for coming up with a name for the newly renovated café. The campus president also thanked the architects, contractors, leadership from the Administrative Offices downtown and the North Campus leadership for their effective and successful teamwork.
Subway provided special meal deals for the students on opening day. Subway also houses a “Seattle’s Best” full-service coffee shop. Attendees shared an opening-day cake bearing the name of “BlueWave Café” as the group enjoyed the festivities.
