Recruitment and Admissions is happy to share that the College was able to assist students by paying off thousands of dollars in student debt thanks to federal stimulus funds! Students were sent an email to their student account informing them of this payment and sent a supplemental text, encouraging them to check their email for more details. They also received a phone call from Admissions to answer any questions they might have about this debt coverage. We're hopeful this support will provide a fresh start to all recipients and remove an obstacle to those hoping to continue their education at FSCJ.

Various promotional emails and texts were sent out promoting College programs, services and partnerships, including: FSCJ Honors Program, Bank of America/Northeast Florida Jobs Initiative, scholarship application submission, and our Summer C7 “Buy one Get one” class promotion, among others. Event invites for Form Your Future, Health Sciences Info Sessions, Think Like a Boss and Summer Open House were also sent.

A text campaign targeting stop-out students has also launched. Stop-outs from the last five terms are being sent to specific web landing pages that encourage enrollment for Fall Term. You can view these pages here: Students who have been out 1-3 terms and Students who have been out 4-5 terms. This campaign is in coordination with the College’s “FSCJ Is Here for You” campaign. There will also be an upcoming campaign for students who have completed the Admissions process but have yet to enroll in Fall Term classes. More details will be shared as they are confirmed.

Highlights of Admissions communications out of Element451: 

• Debt write-off: 1,300+ texts sent
• Scholarships promo: 25,000+ emails/texts sent
• Stop-outs: 9,000+ students received promotional texts 

Admissions communications out of PeopleSoft/3C’s in June: 

• Total 3C’s Admissions Emails: 3,068 
• Total 3C’s Acceptance Letters: 2,191

We are optimistic that these communications will keep students informed and motivated to take the next step. To assist them with that next step, we are also excited to announce that the Recruitment and Admissions team has grown recently, welcoming five new Enrollment Coaches to the team in July. The new coaches are in training this month, but will join their peers on campus next month as we prepare for peak season in the Advising Centers. This team will serve students virtually and on campus through the dedicated Admissions QLess line.
