FSCJ will be closed for spring break from Monday, March 17 – Sunday, March 23, 2025. We look forward to serving you when we return on March 24.
The orientation, which was held on July 14, is part of an initiative to improve student retention and success by providing students with the opportunity to make connections to the College from the start of their studies.
Students from various health programs learned about valuable support services and resources available to them such as TRIO Student Support Services (TRIO SSS), tutoring and advising. The students participated in campus tours and took advantage of various workshops on topics including technology, PowerPoint, Word basics, grammar and writing, APA formatting, apps for college success, Blackboard and iPad basics.
“A huge thank you to Dr. Kimberly Fahlgren and Dr. Jeffrey Smith for organizing, planning and implementing the orientation,” said Dean of Health Sciences Dr. Neal Henning. The Executive Chair for the School of Social, Behavioral and Health Sciences Dr. Sandy Robinson said that the stage has been set for our upcoming academic year.
