FSCJ will be closed for spring break from Monday, March 17 – Sunday, March 23, 2025. We look forward to serving you when we return on March 24.
The Administrative & Professional Collaborative (APC) is the representative voice for the Administrative & Professional employees of FSCJ. In an effort to build cohesiveness, awareness and collegiality, each month we put a “spotlight” on one of our members.
December’s Administrative and Professional Collaborative (APC) Spotlight shines on Heather Kenney, director of student engagement.
As FSCJ’s Director of Student Engagement, Heather leads Student Life & Leadership, the Downtown Immersion Project and Diversity & Social Change. Student Engagement provides the co-curricular programs on each campus along with History & Heritage months, student organizations, volunteerism and the Student Government Association (SGA).
Heather joined Student Success in July of 2016 after working at the University of North Florida (UNF) for the past seven years. She has spent 16 years in higher education, specifically working in Residence Life and Housing, Student Activities and Academic Advising.
She earned her Master of Science (M.S.) in Higher Education Administration from Florida State University (FSU) in 2002 and her doctorate (Ed.D) in Educational Leadership from UNF in 2012. Heather grew up in the borough of Media, Pennsylvania, but has lived in Florida since 1999.
Our spotlight shines on each campus/center at least once a year. Nominations for the spotlight may be directed to your campus representative or any officer. Learn more about APC on our website, http://blogs.fscj.edu/apcollaborative.
