FSCJ to Host Mayor’s Youth at Work Partnership Summit

Jun 9, 2022, 12:51 PM

FSCJ is collaborating with the Office of Mayor Lenny Curry on the Mayor’s Youth at Work Partnership (MYAWP). Through this community-wide initiative, approximately 400 16-to-21 year olds are currently working in summer jobs with area business, education and non-profit organizations. The goal of the partnership is“to build the talent pipeline for our local economy by connecting young adults with education and employment career pathways that prepare them to meet the skill demands of employers while leading them to workforce success.”

On Friday, July 27, FSCJ will serve as the host site for the MYAWP Summit at the Downtown Campus.  At this time, approximately 475 attendees, including nearly 400 youths, are expected to be in attendance. Representatives from Recruitment and FSCJ's academic programs will be on hand to speak to the attendees about all the College has to offer.
