Jun 9, 2022, 12:47 PM

FSCJ STARS Computing Corps is a computer club based at the FSCJ South Campus. Their mission is to promote careers in Information Technology as part of a diverse 21st century workforce. For the last two years, the club has participated in Data Busters, a six-week summer jobs program sponsored by the Northeast Florida Community Action Agency, a not-for-profit organization that is dedicated to improving the lives of low-income individuals.

This year, the club introduced topics including computer programming, computer hardware, digital sensors, and the Internet of Things using the popular, compact and inexpensive Raspberry Pi computer.

Members of the STARS Club use this event as an opportunity to engage with the community, promote technology and speak to potential FSCJ students about the benefits of careers in Information Technology.
