During the October 18 State Board of Education meeting held at FSCJ's Advanced Technology Center, Education Commissioner Pam Stewart presented Dr. Bioteau with a check to benefit first-generation students and students pursuing health care careers.
Each year, the Helios Education Foundation, Florida Blue and Bank of America fund scholarships that focus on relieving the national nursing shortage and supporting students who are the first in their family to attend college. These scholarships are aimed at adding nurses and allied health professionals while also meeting critical workforce needs.
