The 2015 National Urban League Conference was held July 29-August 1, 2015 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
During those four power-packed days, political, business, the LINCS (Leveraging, Integrating, Networking, Coordinating Supplies) national team and community leaders convened for an inspiring and empowering conference that provided the community with unmatched professional, civic engagement, business development and networking opportunities.
Following the national event, Florida State College at Jacksonville, and the Jacksonville Urban League, Inc. (JUL) joined forces in a partnership to Recruit, Enroll and Train individuals and family members in the Supply Chain Management Industry.
The Jacksonville meeting was held August 19 between Philip Seely, program manager for the Logistics and Supply Chain Management programs for FSCJ, the JUL and invited community leaders from CareerSource, Jacksonville Military Affairs and Veterans Department, Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office and other members of the community to learn about the LINCS in Supply Chain Management program offered through FSCJ.
The LINCS program is funded in whole by a $24.5M TAACCCT grant awarded by the U.S. Department of Labor Employment and Training Administration to the LINCS in Supply Chain Management consortium. This program is responsible for the creation of eight new national certifications endorsed by the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals.
