FSCJ will be closed for spring break from Monday, March 17 – Sunday, March 23, 2025. We look forward to serving you when we return on March 24.
Florida State College at Jacksonville (FSCJ) hosted the Northeast Florida Regional STEM2 Hub and US FIRST Legos Robotics League recently for a local pre-qualifying tournament.
FIRST melds science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) principles, Legos and robotics to form the ultimate youth competition. Following intense preparation leading up to the competition, 13 teams of boys and girls from eight to 14 years of age converged on the FSCJ North Campus to take part in thrilling robot matches and other activities.
A multitude of volunteer referees, judges and coaches worked together to provide each team a mind-stimulating experience in “Cooperation ©” (Cooperation in Competition). NASA, Duval County Public Schools, Renaissance Jax, Communities In Schools, Girls and Boys Clubs, Bridges, Knots 4 Kids, the Eartha M. White Charitable Fund, FSCJ and other generous organizations contributed time, talent and funds to ensure not only a successful competition, but also a memorable experience for the participants.
