FSCJ hosted the Community Wellness Fair on Saturday, June 9, at North Campus. The event kicked off with a family fun run followed by outdoor activities like an obstacle course, basketball and dunking booth. Kids of all ages had the chance to learn about dental health and adults received free health screenings.
“The FSCJ Community Wellness Fair is a wonderful opportunity for our College to give back to our area by providing a day of free services and fun for all ages, while also enabling attendees to see all that we offer at FSCJ in an enjoyable way," said Dr. Sean McClafferty, chair of the event planning committee.
New this year, FSCJ recognized the winners of the Community Wellness Awards: First Coast News Anchor Jeannie Blaylock for Women’s Health Impact and former NFL Player and Motivational Speaker Donovin Darius for Youth and Family Impact.
“Overall, I believe the event helps to develop great unity and camaraderie for the community and the College, and we hope that it is an event that continues to grow and becomes something that people look forward to attending on an annual basis,” added McClafferty.
