The FSCJ Recruitment & Admissions Office participated in a variety of events throughout the month of January. “Lunch and Learn” events were held with the principals and guidance counselors at all four high schools in the Nassau County School District. These events help high school administrators understand enrollment trends at FSCJ and provided opportunities to collaborate on future programming such as Application Labs, FAFSA Labs and Enrollment Assistance Days.
The team also supported other types of programming throughout the month, including various Why FSCJ presentations, Career Fairs and Instant Decision Days. Highlights include our first participation in the TPC Sawgrass College Fair and our culminating event, Form Your Future, on January 26 held at the ATC and Nassau Center. Form Your Future is a partnership with various local organizations that provides financial literacy and financial aid assistance to students and their families. This year’s event saw more than 100 families participate.
February keeps the momentum going with our first-ever FSCJ exclusive career fairs at West Nassau High School and Terry Parker High School. Through a new partnership with the MaliVai Washington Youth Foundation, FSCJ Recruitment will also be hosting group tours on February 15. New Student Orientation is scheduled to take place at South Campus on Friday, February 22nd with the month wrapping up with NE Florida Construction Career Days on February 26-28.
Finally, for our Dual Enrolled students that wish to begin at FSCJ this fall as degree-seeking students, a new application is available online.
Want to take a deeper dive? Sign up for a Recruitment & Admissions 101 AFPD course in February or March. Courses will take place at each campus.
