FSCJ will be closed for spring break from Monday, March 17 – Sunday, March 23, 2025. We look forward to serving you when we return on March 24.
The Institute of Higher Education (IHE) at the University of Florida selected Dr. Ian Neuhard, executive chair for the School of Liberal Arts, Communication, and Education as one of its Outstanding Graduate Award winners, a prestigious recognition that is only awarded every five years.
The program honors selected alumni professionals—all doctoral graduates of the UF College of Education’s Higher Education Administration program—for their effectiveness as community college administrators, participation in collegewide strategic planning, community involvement and professional activities at the state, regional and national levels.
“I am honored to have been selected for the University of Florida’s Institute of Higher Education Outstanding Graduate Award. The instructional and educational experiences I was afforded during my time as a UF doctoral student combined with the tremendous colleagues I’ve worked alongside throughout my career, especially here at FSCJ, have undoubtedly led me to the place I am today.”
The 10 honorees, chosen from among 30 nominees, were recognized at the IHE’s alumni reunion and awards banquet held concurrently with the annual meeting of the Community College Futures Assembly in Orlando.
