The 27th International Conference on College Teaching and Learning (ICCTL) was held April 4-7, 2016, at both FSCJ’s Downtown Campus and the Omni Jacksonville Hotel.

This year’s theme was Building Bridges: Teaching Our Communities, Engaging the World.  Participants nationally and internationally attended the conference to engage with other colleagues and share their ideas and research on various topics in teaching and learning.

There were more than 100 faculty presentations, two keynote speakers, an awards ceremony honoring faculty from all over for their work in higher education and a variety of social activities. Our two keynote speakers were Dr. Helen Fisher, a biological anthropologist who specializes in the human personality, and Dr. Daniel Levitin, a neuroscientist who explores how the brain works and studies the brains of highly successful people and accomplished musicians.  The 28th ICCTL will be held April 3-6, 2017.
