FSCJ will be closed for spring break from Monday, March 17 – Sunday, March 23, 2025. We look forward to serving you when we return on March 24.
Dawn Henderson graduated from our interior design program in 2015. While here, she served as vice president of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) Student Chapter and is still active with ASID today. Currently, she serves as the design community coordinator for Jacksonville.
When the Jacksonville native isn’t engaged in the design process, she enjoys traveling, visiting local galleries and museums, supporting local businesses and restaurants, as well as keeping a photo diary of her adventures.
Dawn has wanted to be an interior designer her entire life. After completing an internship, Dawn was offered a position at Just B Interiors, a San Marco-based residential firm. Under the mentorship of Bianca Beattie, Dawn has learned a great deal about the design industry and has gained a greater appreciation of what interior design really entails. Dawn is also employed part time with Chain Source Inc., where she has taken an interest in contract furnishings.
Dawn finds her go-to style to be transitional and draws inspiration from travel, architecture and nature. Her experiences thus far have allowed her to understand the significant impact of design on our environments. She believes that a well-designed space, whether commercial or residential, should always be made a priority. Dawn aspires to work in hospitality design and construction management. She also plans to sit for the National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) and Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification in the future.
