The Association of Florida Colleges Technology Commission named FSCJ's Adult Education program the third place winner of the 2020 Technology Commission Exemplary Practice Award for their "Using YouTube to Enhance the Student Experience" project.

The project was developed to help students who were overwhelmed with making the transition to virtual learning due to COVID-19. In addition to Google Hangouts, WebEx, Microsoft Teams and Brainfuse, Academic Tutors also developed a new YouTube channel, FSCJ Adult Ed Academic Tutors, to support the many students who are visual and kinesthetic learners.

This channel provided students with access to tutorial videos that helped with basic computer skills training and academic tutoring in all adult education subject areas, including ESOL. Additionally, the FSCJ Adult Education new Virtual Student Orientation was uploaded to the channel.

As of July 9, 2020, the FSCJ Tutors YouTube Channel has 58 videos uploaded with approximately 500 video views.
