The program was established in the Fall of 2016 to enhance the lives of the student-athletes. The program focuses on five key areas: academic excellence, athletic excellence, personal development, career/financial development and service to the community. The teams earn points for each category and the team with the highest per player average wins the annual award. Past recipients were the 2016-17 Women’s Basketball team, and the 2017-18 Baseball team.
New this year, the athletes nominated and voted on Professor and Staff Person of the Year awards to honor faculty and staff that have supported them throughout the year. This year they selected Professor Heidi Marshall and Student Success Advisor II Davion Manuel-McKenney.
