FSCJ's Student Government Association (SGA) Collegewide President SeQoya Williams was recently named the 2019-20 Florida College System Student Government Association (FCSSGA) President of the Year.

Each year, this honor is given to one SGA president from the 28 Florida College System (FCS) institutions who has provided distinguished service to their respective college’s SGA. To be selected for the award, candidates must exhibit great support, collaboration and leadership for their fellow students.

“Ms. Williams has been an incredible representative for our College and her fellow students. In addition to the ongoing service she’s provided as SGA President, she has supported the best interests of the entire College through her role in strategic planning, Inauguration and Commencement planning activities,” said College President John Avendano, Ph.D. “We congratulate her on this wonderful achievement which truly is a testament to the exemplary leadership she’s provided for FSCJ and our student body.”

In addition to SeQoya’s recognition, FSCJ’s South Campus SGA President Christopher Rodriguez was nominated for the FCSSGA President’s Award and Collegewide Vice President Megan Partello was nominated for the FCSSGA Region 1 Leadership Award.
