Jun 9, 2022, 12:55 PM

Caleigh Balestra, a recent graduate of the Florida State College at Jacksonville (FSCJ) Honors Program, was named a 2020 Coca-Cola Academic Team Bronze Scholar by Phi Theta Kappa and the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation. In honor of her selection, she will receive a $1,000 scholarship and commemorative medallion.

She and other Phi Theta Kappa students were celebrated at the Phi Theta Kappa All-USA Academic Team Awards Ceremony in St. Petersburg on Friday, March 6, 2020.

The Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation sponsors the Coca-Cola Academic Team program by recognizing 50 Gold, 50 Silver, and 50 Bronze Scholars with nearly $200,000 in scholarships annually. Selection as a Coca-Cola Bronze Scholar is based on scores earned in the All-USA Academic Team competition, for which more than 2,000 applications were received this year. This program is sponsored by the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation and is administered by Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.
