FSCJ Hosts 10th Annual FACTA Conference

FSCJ hosted the Florida Association of College Test Administrators (FACTA) 10th Annual Conference on February 6-8 at Deerwood Center, under the leadership of Assessment and Certification Manager Dr. Judy Jones-Liptrot. The conference theme, “Show Me The Money,” depicted ways colleges can generate revenue for their institutions. 

Interim College President Kevin Hyde and Vice President for Online and Workforce Education Jana Kooi welcomed the 89 attendees from across the state, which also include representatives from eight of the College's business partners. 

FSCJ's Executive Director of Academic Operations Dr. Rich Turner presented on “Using Revenue to Create Testing Relevance,” as the keynote speaker. Other event highlights include the FACTA President’s Award Luncheon, six professional development sessions, Florida Department of Education updates, a True Color exercise with Assessment and Certification Manager Dr. Carla Jenkins, and much more. In addition, Associate Provost of Curriculum and Instruction Dr. Kathleen Ciez-Volz and Dr. Jones-Liptrot presented alongside Chad Warner of McCann Associates on the topic of “Saving Money with ENC0025 Online Conversion.”

FACTA's mission is to enhance professional growth and communication among test administrators employed by regionally accredited postsecondary institutions in the State of Florida. FACTA actively advocates and supports the National College Testing Association's (NCTA) Professional Standards and Guidelines.
