As our world becomes more connected than ever before, it’s important to realize that some of the things we might take for granted, such as electricity, are difficult to access for many people across the globe.

The Administrative & Professional Collaborative (APC) is the representative voice for the Administrative & Professional employees of FSCJ. In an effort to build cohesiveness, awareness and collegiality, each month we put a “spotlight” on one of our members.

August is National Diversity Awareness month and FSCJ Student Engagement has planned several thought-provoking events in the months of August and September that are designed to foster open dialogue, awareness and respect for social, cultural, religious and ideological diversity.

National Immunization Awareness Month (NIAM) is an annual observance to highlight the importance of vaccination in preventing many serious diseases for people of all ages – not just children.

Last month, more than 200 students attended the first Common Orientation for the School of Social, Behavioral and Health Sciences.

The College invites all faculty and staff as part of our local community of writers to participate in the 2016 JaxbyJax, Jacksonville Writers Writing Jacksonville, literary arts festival on November 12.

Matt Mercurio finished his time at FSCJ in the spring of 2009. As a theatre performance student, Matt received a full-time performance talent-grant.

The 27th International Conference on College Teaching and Learning (ICCTL) was held April 4-7, 2016, at both FSCJ’s Downtown Campus and the Omni Jacksonville Hotel.

For students aiming to complete their degree in as little as 18 months, FSCJ offers the Accelerated College program.

In high school, Antonio “Tony” Puente was encouraged to pursue a vocational track after graduation by his counselor. He chose not to.
