How do I check my SAP status in my Student Portal?
- Log in to your MyFSCJ account
- Click on the Financial Aid Tile
- Choose the Financial Aid Year
- The aid year matches the semester you are attending.
- For example: Fall 2025, Spring 2026, and Summer 2026 would be under the 2025/2026 Financial Aid Year
- Click Satisfactory Academic Progress on the left side menu
- Your SAP status will appear on screen
There are three possible SAP statuses you can fall into:
Meeting SAP
You must have:
- A cumulative academic GPA of 2.0 or higher,
- Pass at least 67% of ALL attempted credits, even if it was from 20 years ago
- Have attempted less than 150% of the maximum timeframe for your program of study
You are eligible to receive financial aid. Great job!
Warning
You have one or more below:
- A cumulative GPA below 2.0
- Not passed at least 67% of ALL attempted credits
Although you may receive financial aid, it is not guaranteed for the following semester.
Your next recommended step is to contact a Student Success Navigator.
Not Meets
You have one or more below for more than one semester:
- A cumulative GPA below 2.0
- Not passed at least 67% of ALL attempted credits
- Attempted more than 150% of the maximum timeframe for your program of study
You are no longer eligible to receive financial aid.
Your next steps are:
Speak to a Student Success Navigator to discuss your Financial Aid status to determine if you need to:
- Self-pay and successfully pass as many classes as needed to have your GPA and Completion Rate to “Meeting SAP”.
- Submit a SAP Appeal
