FSCJ Alternative Break Programs provide a valuable way for students to engage in co-curricular opportunities for civic engagement, social change, and global learning. Our program is designed to encourage personal growth and reflection, promote civic engagement around a social issue, and immerse participants in a new culture.
The 2024 Alternative Spring Break Program is an eight-day, seven-night immersive service-learning trip to Puerto Rico where a team of students, trip leaders, and supporting staff will participate in volunteer projects focused on community resilience and youth education as guided by community partners. This experience is designed to be a hands-on opportunity for FSCJ students to learn more about themselves, others, and the world around them.
