Two technical certificates, Criminal Justice Technology Specialist (T.C.) and Crime Scene Technician (T.C.), are embedded within this degree program. Students may pursue the A.S. degree and earn the technical certificates while completing the requirements for the degree, or pursue the certificate(s) individually to develop or upgrade their skills. 

Career Opportunities

Police officers protect lives and property. Detectives and criminal investigators, who are sometimes called agents or special agents, gather facts and collect evidence of possible crimes (Bureau of Labor Statistics).
