For student recruitment, the first half of 2025 promises to be as engaging as the latter half of 2024. We are focused on nurturing legacy partnerships and creating initiatives to engage, enlighten and encourage prospective students. Flipping through the pages of the 2025 calendar, the following are upcoming highlight recruitment events.
January - BEACON (Bringing Economic and Career Opportunities Nearer) (Training Day, January 17; school visits begin the following week)
This unique collaboration, led by Duval County Public Schools, ensures that every high school senior knows how to apply for financial aid. Trained volunteers are deployed to schools throughout the county to meet with students.
February - Principals and Counselors Meeting (February 28 at Kent Campus)
This annual meeting allows us to engage our school partners from Duval and Nassau counties, share more about FSCJ, and glean insight from their experiences with the College.
March - Nassau County FSCJ Connections: A Community Partner Event (March 28)
In collaboration with the Center for Civic Engagement, this annual event allows FSCJ programs and services to engage and share with our community partners. Also, the event allows us to brainstorm with community partners ultimately strengthening our collaborative work.
April - Nassau County Takeover Day (April 11)
This high-energy day provides high school seniors with fun and informative opportunities to explore all FSCJ offers.
May - Duval County Takeover Day(s) (South Campus: April 25, North Campus: May 2)
June - Collegewide Open House (June 21 at South Campus)
Open House allows us to engage with prospective students exploring future enrollment and applicants preparing for the current term.
We value the involvement of the FSCJ family and believe our prospective students benefit when they hear various FSCJ voices. If you’re interested in participating in recruitment events, please contact us at fscjrecruitment@fscj.edu with the subject line Dive into Manta Ray Nation.
